NEVERSAYS

We’ve been placed in diverse environments, provided with elaborate Diversity & Inclusivity Mission Statements, and been expected to make it work. We’ve been expected to communicate with people, without being provided any real guidance on exactly how to do that. No one would send you to another country and expect you to not break any laws, without telling you what the key laws were.

Neversays is a practical guide that quickly teaches us the biggest cultural communication pitfalls, how to avoid them, and an explanation of why the phrases are offensive.

If you would like to improve your communication skills, work in a more cohesive environment, improve your existing work and social relationships and develop new relationships, I am confident that The Neversays will be helpful.

BEATNIK24

The purpose for Beatnik24 is to foster awareness, love and unity within the Black community. My intention is for Black people to love themselves and each other. It sounds somewhat silly, I guess; but oftentimes my people are overwhelmed with negative images, bad news, and stereotyped characters about us. I’d like to flip that script. I’d like to remind us, as often as I can, how incredible we are. I’d like to expose the hypocrisy and bias of the media, the government and our educational systems. We are operating with a handicap if we don’t love ourselves and each other.

I often write about things that are uncomfortable to talk about. What I hope is that I can trigger people to think about things from a different perspective and to get people talking about things with a level of empathy. My desire is to foster communication and to build understanding by honestly sharing myself.

OTHER WORKS

Check out my other creations:

All the Women in My Family Sing is a vital collection of prose and poetry by women of color [including Randi Bryant], with topics that range from the pressures of being the vice-president of a Fortune 500 Company, to escaping the killing fields of Cambodia, to the struggles inside immigration, identity, romance and self-worth.
